School improvement service

  • School effectiveness partners

The Local Authority offers a menu of support that schools may wish to purchase. This is not a traditional service level agreement at a fixed cost, but a bespoke, negotiated package of support tailored to the school's requirements.

  • Pupil performance data

The Local Authority offers a service that will support schools in analysing a wide range of pupil performance data at school and pupil level for self evaluation/improvement planning purposes and in preparation for Ofsted inspections.

  • Support for newly qualified teachers

We assist schools in meeting statutory requirements in support of newly qualified teachers (NQTs). This includes providing schools with advice on induction processes including schools' support and training for NQTs and on the monitoring and assessment of NQTs.

  • Support for national curriculum assessment administration at key stage one and key stage two

The Local Authority (LA) supports schools to ensure that they administer the statutory assessments and reporting arrangements appropriately. This includes offering training and advice on statutory assessment, moderation of teacher assessments, undertaking monitoring visits and in respect of access arrangements.
